Scrapmatts, FWAB and Scrap Around the World

Hi Everyone..I know it's been awhile since I posted but I have been scrapping... doing projects that I will share a little later on.Here are some of my projects that I made using some beautiful Scrapmatts Chipboard. You will also see Some gorgeous Flourish with a Bling.

OK..here we go!

 I based this layout on the new Challenge Blog, Scrap around the World created by the very talented Helen Tilbury!! You can check out the awesome May Sketch and Inspiration Board here.

From the mood board, I used the flowers and beads(I substituted with pearls) and I flipped the sketch so that the circle was on the opposite side.

This month the designers here at Scrapmatts were given a few color palettes to work with and I choose Black/yellow/white...one of my favorites. I painted the CB4060 Frames,CB 4009 Butterflies

and the  CB1158 Butterflies with Black acrylic paint and did some random stamping in white over top. I then took the CB1189 Words and placed in random places on the layout.
This is also my last layout as a designer at FWAB. I have so enjoyed my year and thanks to the lovely ladies at FWAB for having me!!
I added the 100 Pk Pearls in Black and Pearl and the Bella Rhinestone flourish in Black to add that perfect detail to my layout.

For my second project, as a little challenge, we were asked to step outside the box and there was no better piece to do this with than the gorgeous CB7011Cabinet.

 It is stunning just as it is but I decided to paint it an off white color. I then added a coat of crackle paint and gave it a rustic look with some brown ink and a few dabs of turquoise paint to match the beautiful Kaisercraft 75 Cents Collection. I just love this collection and it is one of my all time favs!The photo is of my hubby's father and mother when they first started dating. I printed two photos and cut the silhoutte from one and to add dimension, I mounted it on cardboard.
I filled the cabinet with bits and bobs, some scrapmatts chippies and some Kaisercraft Embellies. LOVE those wooden Scrabble tiles!

Flourish With a Bling Button Challenge!

April Scrapmatts Creations!!

Hi everyone... here today to share my projects using some gorgeous Scrapmatts chipboard and some Fourish With a Bling products I have lots to share with you today because I tend to add Scrapmatts to all my creations!

First up is this layout of my great nieces, Myla and Michelle born on January 31st...aren't they beautiful! The lovely photo was taken by Sherri Mouland Photography.

I used the beautiful graphic 45 Secret Garden collection, FWAB bling and went crazy with molding paste, mists and gelatos!It is also based on this months sketch over at OUAS.There is some hidden journalling on the back to the mom of these two sweeties!

 Here is the beautiful sketch..I just rotated it to the right once.

In the above picture you can see the very beautiful CB 4007 Frame . Alot of the Scrapmatts chippies come in a perfect white mist finish that I just love and I usually leave them unaltered. This time I added a little crackle paint, did some random stamping, and added a little paint. Here are a few closeups and the other chippies I used:

Here you see the CB1012 Penny farthings and CB1158 Butterflies that I gessoed, stamped and sprayed with glimmermist.

And here you see the CB6071 Words that I gave the same treatment as the above butterflies 

Next up we have a couple of cards...one of them is a Mother's Day card for my mom. I just love this Grace Pearl Flourish from Flourish with a Bling...the color is so pretty!

 

Again I used the Secret Garden Collection for both my cards. I used the CB1020 card borders that I cut to fit under the window and CB1188 birds.

Here is  my second card using CB1188 Birds, CB1118 Floral designs, CB4009 Butterflies and CB 1192 Scrap Words.

I also added a few pearls from FWAB.

Lastly...here is a tag I created...

I applied a coat of gesso to the CB3007 tag, applied molding paste to a couple of different stencils and then colored with gelatos. For the CB5100 cat tails, I applied texture paste to the tops and colored with brown glimmer mist and painted the stems with smooch paint. On this tag , you will also find CB1189 words, CB4009 butterflies, and CB5099 Grass

There has been so many changes that have happened at FWAB over the past year!

• We've had the addition of a new Design Team

Ok...here is what I created...an altered paintbrush! I have seen so many of these brushes on Pinterest and have be dying to do one. Hubby is a painter so I told him to keep all his old brushes for me!

I did this one using the colors in my scraproom..now to find a place to hang it!

I used the Jasmine Flourish in Teal and also added a few Teal pearls to the Scrapmatts Butterfly.

Here are a few closeups...just look at the beautiful sparkle in that Jasmine flourish!

Of course there is some Scrapmatts tucked in there...I used the Butterflies(CB1158) and Gears(CB1073)
